Chris has written 2 instructional books. “Chris Letchford’s Guitar Technique Book” Available Here and “Chris Letchford’s Guide To Tapping”, out April 2012.
Biography: Born on October 7, 1984 in Houston, TX, Christopher Letchford has
quickly began his transition into an aspiring extended-range guitar player.
At the age of 8, he began to play music and over the years it matured
into a serious affair. Chris has acquired over 6 years of private guitar
lessons, which were followed by enrollment in the Musicians Institute
located in Los Angeles, CA as a guitar major and in the GCA program.
While in GCA, he learned how to construct and build his own custom,
handmade guitars. He has also attended Berklee College of Music and
Houston Community College as a music major. He is currently busy
teaching, releasing instructional books and touring with his own band,
Scale the Summit, signed with Prosthetic Records. Scale The Summit
has had the pleasure of touring with Dream Theater, Zappa Plays Zappa,
Cynic, Devin Townsend, Between The Buried and Me, Fair To Midland,
Periphery, 3, and Protest The Hero, to name a few.
Chris currently endorse’s Ernie Ball Products, Jackson Gutiar, Fractal Audio, Mackie,
Bareknuckle Pickups, Intune Guitar Picks, Rocktron, MusicMan Guitars,
Suhr Guitars, Strandberg Guitars, and Hipshot Bridges.
