Credentials: Chris has been playing guitar for 14 years and has been teaching professionally for the last 7 years. Styles range from Rock, Metal, Fusion, Jazz, Classical and Latin (Bossa Nova, Samba, and Spanish Rock).

He has taken over 6 years of private guitar lessons, and has attended the following schools: Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA: for both the GIT and GCA programs, Houston Community College as a Music Major, & Berklee College Of Music.

Teaching Concepts: Chris offers training in all musical methods including theory, ear training, sight-reading, guitar technique (sweep picking, string skipping, scales, modes, speed, alternate picking, economy picking, hybrid picking, chicken pickin’, two handed tapping, etc…), song writing and guitar performance. He evaluates the goals & objectives of his students and customizes lessons for each individual.

Payment: Lessons are 1 hour, once a week. For Video / Skype / Ichat lessons, payment is due at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled lesson via paypal. Please email for rates and more info: chris@chrisletchford.com

In person (Houston) lessons: Payment is due in full at the first scheduled lesson, for the following four – 1 hour lessons (One Month, 4 weeks). 1/2 Hour lessons are also available and are usually recommended for beginners. Please call or email for rates and more info.

Cancellations: As a rule, I require 24 hours or more advance notice for you to receive credit for the cancellation of an appointment. There can be no exceptions to this policy due to the fact that you are removing my ability to schedule another student in this time slot.

No Shows (Houston): If you do not show up for an appointment, without calling before the 24 hour cancellation period, then you will still be charged for the time.
